Services We Offer
Here at Avicenna Centre for Brain Health, we offer comprehensive assessments for those with mental health issues. We take care of our patients with initial physician recommendations followed by a possible range of allied health services. Please note, we do not currently offer Case Management as a service as it is beyond the capacity of our Mental Health Centre. Physicians may recommend the Therapy Program for patients interested in regular psychosocial care post initial assessment.
Psychiatric Consultation Service
This program intends to service the needs of all individuals. Avicenna Centre for Brain Health helps our patients through psychosis, mood disorders, suicidal ideation, behaviour issues, and/or anxiety. Offering thorough assessments from physicians and extended services through our allied health team who are at the top of their fields. Patients engaging in the full breath of our services will find that their treatment is second to none.
Memory Clinic
The Avicenna Memory Clinic supports those who are suffering from any brain-health issues. With full screening and assessment programs, we determine the real root cause of our patients’ troubles and meticulously determine a plan for treatment.
Counselling / Psychological Services
At Avicenna, The Psychology Centre offers a full range of diagnostic, treatment, as well as educational and consultation services to help you with psychological issues. We also offer counselling services to individuals, couples, and families. Therapies include, but are not limited to, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused Therapy, Dialectal Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Art Therapy.
ADHD Clinic
Avicenna Centre for Brain Health operates two unique ADHD clinics in British Columbia. One is the Adult ADHD Clinic which accommodates populations over the age of 18. Avicenna also runs a Child & Adolescent ADHD clinic targeted at youth age of 8 to 17 years.
Personalized Medicine for Brain Health
The OptimalRx Plus® is a test that looks at your genetic make-up. The results will help your clinician determine what treatment will work best for your body – which drugs you are most likely to respond favourably to and what treatment protocols would have the most likelihood of being the most successful.
